Refund rules and request process for FindMark subscriptions

1. Overview

We want you to be fully satisfied with FindMark Pro. This Refund Policy explains when you can request a refund and how to submit one. It works together with our Terms of Service as part of the agreement between you and us. Before subscribing, we recommend exploring the Free plan to evaluate the core features before upgrading to Pro.

2. Refund Eligibility

You may request a full refund if any of the following applies:

  • Within 7 calendar days from the date of payment, provided you have not heavily used Pro features (e.g., bulk auto-backup or bulk restore)
  • A significant defect or unavailability of our service that we are unable to fix within a reasonable time
  • Duplicate or erroneous charges caused by our system
  • An unauthorized charge that you can verify with valid evidence

3. Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:

  • Subscription fees beyond the 7-day refund window
  • Completed auto-renewal cycles where no request was made within 7 days of the renewal charge
  • Already-used portions of a billing cycle (we do not offer prorated refunds for monthly or yearly plans)
  • Accounts terminated due to violations of our Terms of Service
  • Orders for which a chargeback has already been filed with your bank or payment provider

4. How to Request a Refund

Please follow these steps to submit a refund request:

  1. Email support@findmark.app with the subject "Refund Request"
  2. Include your registered email, order number or payment receipt, and the reason for the refund
  3. We will respond to your request within 3 business days
  4. Once approved, the refund will be issued through your original payment method

5. Refund Processing Time

Once approved, we immediately instruct our payment processor (Creem) to issue the refund. Funds typically arrive in your original payment account within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment method and issuing bank. If you have not received the refund after 15 business days, please reach out so we can help.

6. Cancellation vs. Refund

Cancellation and refunds are separate actions. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time under "Account → My Subscription". After cancellation, you will continue to enjoy Pro features until the end of the current billing cycle, then automatically switch to the Free plan with no further charges. Cancellation alone does not trigger a refund.

7. Data After Refund

Once a refund is processed, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan immediately. Your locally stored bookmarks remain intact, but Pro-only features (such as unlimited tags, multi-version auto cloud backup, and the 30-day Recycle Bin) will be restricted. We recommend exporting important data before requesting a refund.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be announced on our website or by email and will apply to new orders from the announcement date. Orders already paid will be handled under the policy effective at the time of payment.
